Admission to various Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD programmes is offered through two modes:
- SAU Entrance Test Mode:
- For Indian Candidates: Center-based online tests conducted by the University.
- For other SAARC Candidates (excluding India): Proctored online tests on stipulated dates.
- Direct Admission Mode (Without SAU Entrance Test):
- In India: Based on scores from national-level tests (Like JEE/CUET/NEET/CAT/CLAT/NET/GATE etc).
- In Other SAARC Countries: Based on national-level test scores or qualifying examination results from recognized institutions.
- For Non-SAARC Candidates: Based on scores obtained in their qualifying examination.
- For Executive PhD and Executive MBA programmes: Admission shall be based on the programme-specific eligibility criteria, relevant professional experience, and the applicant’s performance in the personal interview.

b) In other SAARC countries (other than India)

- For non-Indian candidates from other SAARC countries, in addition to the SAU Entrance Tests, the admission to various Bachelors/Masters/PhD programmes will also be made on the basis of their scores/rank obtained in any National Level Test in respective SAARC country.
- For non-Indian candidates from other SAARC countries, the admission to various Bachelors/Masters/PhD programmes will also be made on the basis of their scores obtained in their qualifying examination. For this purpose, a list of various schools/colleges/universities/institutions is being considered and approved by the University whose students will be considered for admission to SAU without going through the SAU Entrance Test.
c) For Non-SAARC candidates
For non-SAARC candidates, the admission to various Bachelors/Masters/PhD programmes will be made on the basis of their scores obtained in their qualifying examination.
Note: Candidates applying through the Direct Mode must pay the Application/Registration Fee for each programme separately. However, in the Entrance Mode, candidates applying for programmes that share the same entrance test are required to pay the fee for one programme only.
