South Asian University awards scholarships to PhD candidates admitted through the Entrance Test mode, strictly in accordance with the number of scholarships notified for the respective Faculty/Department.
The merit list under the Entrance Test mode is prepared based on the combined performance in the SAU Entrance Test and the subsequent interview.
The fellowship amount shall be:
- ₹ 39,000/- per month for candidates in the Science stream
- ₹ 36,000/- per month for candidates in the Other streams
In addition, students admitted through the SAU Entrance Test Mode or Direct Mode shall be entitled to Travel Support of ₹80,000 during the total tenure of the PhD programme, excluding any period of extension, if applicable.
