BA (Honours) in Media, Arts and Design
BA (Honours) in Media, Arts and Design programme at South Asian University is a comprehensive four-year academic programme designed to enrich and equip the students with a strong foundation and specialized skills in media, arts, and design. This programme offers first four-semesters with common foundational courses. Fifth semester onwards students are offered five Tracks/Majors which include Media Management, Screen Production and AI, Visual Design and Fine Arts, Performing Arts and Aesthetics, Journalism and Writing Styles. Students gain in-depth knowledge of their discipline and get equipped with highly demanding skills.

- Semester 1 to 4 – Foundation Courses mandatory to all the students
- Semester 5 to 8 – Elective Courses offered as per chosen Track/Major

- Exit route is available after third year.
Eligibility
A candidate must have passed class 12 or any equivalent qualifying examination (in any discipline) with a minimum of 50% marks (or equivalent grade).
Modes of Admission
Admission to various Bachelor’s programmes is offered through two modes:
1. SAU Entrance Test Mode:
- For Indian Candidates: Center-based online tests conducted by the University.
- For other SAARC Candidates (excluding India): Proctored online tests on stipulated dates.
2. Direct Admission Mode (Without SAU Entrance Test):
- In India: Based on scores from national-level tests (Like JEE/CUET/NEET/CAT/CLAT/NET/GATE etc).
- In Other SAARC Countries: Based on national-level test scores or qualifying examination results from recognized institutions.
- For Non-SAARC Candidates: Based on scores obtained in their qualifying examination.

- The entrance test will have a duration of 2 hours (120 minutes).
- The test paper will have 70 multiple-choice questions.
- Each question will carry one mark.
- There will be no negative marking.
